Adult Driver Education & Training in North Carolina

If you're 18+ years and have never driven before, you're not alone. Many adults like you are getting their licenses every year and we would like to help. Our calm, patient, professional instructors will take you through the process of becoming a safe, confident, and licensed driver.

THE WRITTEN TEST

You'll first have to take a written test at the DMV. We can provide you with study materials to help you get ready. When you pass the written test, you can be issued an Instructional Permit, allowing you to practice with an Instructor or other licensed adult driver.

DRIVING INSTRUCTION

Our behind-the-wheel curriculum for unlicensed adults includes:

• Orientation to the car.
• Starting and stopping
• Backing
• Scanning, visual search.
• Using the mirrors.
• Right and left turns.
• Light traffic.
• Parking.
• Three point turns
• Residential area driving.
• Business area driving.
• One way streets.
• Keeping the car under control.
• Defensive driving.
